Six citrus and fruit materials crowd the opening of What Else Men, an ambitious start for a fragrance with such an offhand, conversational name. Orange, lemon, bergamot, mandarin orange, apple and ginger open with a bright, layered citrus burst that avoids feeling thin or single-note. Geranium, vetiver, sandalwood, mint and rosemary build an unusually full center, herbal and woody at once, adding noticeable structure as the composition develops. Musk, amber and moss wrap things up warm and grounded, giving What Else Men Eau de Parfum a comfortable, confident conclusion. Aromatic fougère is the fitting classification, versatile enough for daytime office wear while holding up comfortably into evening. It suits professional settings, casual outings and dinners about equally well. Fall and winter favor the amber and moss close most, though the citrus top keeps it wearable into spring. Five materials doing substantial work in the center stage is more complexity than this casually-named release initially suggests.
