Valentino leans into a considerably fruitier, more playful register with this Coral Fantasy release than its more serious Born In Roma siblings typically attempt. Red apple, cardamom and Calabrian bergamot open with a bright, spiced fruitiness that feels lighter than the rest of the line. Lavender, bourbon geranium and clary sage carry the middle, herbal and slightly green, adding structure without losing that fruity energy. Tobacco leaf, patchouli and Haitian vetiver round things out rich and earthy, giving Uomo Born In Roma Coral Fantasy Cologne a considerably more serious finish than its playful name and opening suggest. Aromatic fruity is the fitting classification, versatile enough for daytime wear while holding up comfortably into evening. It suits casual outings, dates and dinners about equally well.
