Vanderbilt was launched by the Gloria Vanderbilt design house in 1994, a creation of Sophia Grojsman. A spritz of the all-feminine perfume starts out with airy fresh green notes that is smoothly overridden by timeless floral scents of rose, tuberose and jasmine. The sensuous spicy musk and wood notes settle in after, with comforting ylang-ylang and vanilla always by the side.
- Top notes of bergamot, neroli, pineapple and green
- Middle notes of orange blossom, rose, ylang-ylang, tuberose and jasmine
- Base notes of cinnamon, musk, vanilla, vetiver and sandalwood
About the Brand
Gloria Laura Vanderbilt, an American author, artist, socialite, actress and heiress is one of the earlier developers of branded blue jeans. Born in New York, Vanderbilt started her career as an artist; however she soon branched into clothing by launching her line of jeans. She ventured into commercial design and art in 1971 and developed a range of goods made from paper for Hallmark. Some scarves from Vanderbilt's work were taken to finally license her name and launch a range of products. These included perfume, eyewear and clothing. The swan logo along with the scripted signature was seen on a line of well-fitted designer jeans during the 1970s. These turned her into a mainstream fashion designer.
