Few fragrances released this century have been imitated as often as Aventus, which says something about how well Creed balanced this particular note list. Green apple, bergamot, pink pepper and lemon open things with a juicy, faintly smoky citrus-fruit combination, the exact blend that's since been copied by dozens of far cheaper alternatives. Rose, lilac, ylang-ylang, blackcurrant, pineapple and peach build an unusually full middle, fruity and floral at once, giving the fragrance more complexity than most of its imitators bother replicating in full. Sandalwood, cedarwood, patchouli, musk and ambroxan close things out smooth and long-lasting, with that ambroxan doing much of the work that made this particular finish so influential industry-wide. Fruity chypre is the technical classification, though most people just know Aventus Eau de Parfum as the fragrance every clone is chasing. It suits nearly any occasion, from office wear to evening events, which is part of why its reputation has held for well over a decade. Cooler weather lets the woody finish perform at its best, though the top keeps it wearable into summer too. Whatever the copies get right, none quite manage the balance Creed struck here.

You may return any unopened merchandise in its original condition, including original sealed packaging within 30 days of invoice date and you will receive a full refund, less shipping and gift-wrapping charges.
