Marvel

Marvel was started as a comic book publishing company known as Timely Publications in 1939, it got its current name in 1961 when it launched the Fantastic Four and other popular comics created by renowned authors Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and many others. Marvel is responsible for the creation of many iconic superheroes like Spider-Man, Hulk, Wolverine, Iron Man, Captain America and many others. They are also responsible for teams like the Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four and the Guardians of The Galaxy. The company was bought by Disney in 2009, and so sells a variety of products under Disney's name usually related to their superhero characters.
