The first Guerlain boutique opened by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain in 1828 met instant success, as the products were both revolutionary and none like the market had ever seen. Guerlia went on to create the first even scientific formulation in eyeliner, mascara, kohl, lipstick and skincare product lines. It was donned by Queen Victoria, Napoleon III and other who's who worldwide later on, and the perfume house needed no further validation from there on.
